Sarah Hopen is a Certified Professional Bookkeeper, Xero Advisor & Local Ambassador with over 15 years’ experience working with businesses, professionals, and not-for-profit organizations. She is skilled in developing effective bookkeeping solutions that maximize resources and provide the most useful information for managers. Sarah is a mother of three girls, a competitive dressage rider and avid arts lover.

Ademola Olaoti

Senior Bookkeeper

Ademola is an accounting and finance professional holding over 15 years of experience with over 11 in full-cycle accounting in the FMCG, media, financial services, utilities, and real estate sectors. He is a Certified Xero Advisor; he holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and an associate membership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

He also has a video series on YouTube tagged “One Minute with Me” where he discusses accounting and finance related topics.

Yvette Noel

Payroll Administrator and Senior Bookkeeper

Yvette Noel has more than 10 years of experience in accounting and finance for various industries including investor relations, manufacturing, travel, construction, legal, insurance, and culinary.  She is a graduate from Ryerson University in Toronto, where she simultaneously earned two Bachelor of Commerce degrees in Accounting and Finance in 2006.

Yvette is a passionate learner who is continuously improving her skills. She is currently pursuing certification as a Payroll Compliance Practitioner.  Yvette plays an active role in her local church by volunteering in the treasury team.  When she is not working she can often be found socializing with local church members, dancing Zumba with her husband, or enjoying the company of her two children.

Shirley Marquez

Administrative Assistant

Shirley Marquez has worked extensively as a bookkeeping assistant and administrator with professionals, small businesses, and arts and culture organizations such as Toronto International Film Festival, Nightwood Theatre, the Royal Conservatory of Music and the Museum of Inuit Art. Shirley attended the National Theatre School and studied Arts Administration at NYU. She has worked as a theatre actor and is currently writing her second novel.

Suzanne Robertson

Senior Bookkeeper

Suzanne completed her Accounting degree at Mohawk College and has worked largely in the Hamilton steel industry as an Accounting Department Supervisor and Assistant to the Controller. She enjoys providing comprehensive and thorough solutions to her clients bookkeeping challenges, and works effectively to develop their financial process and reporting. Suzanne lives on and manages a Highland Cattle beef farm with her husband and two children, and is currently the Regional Treasurer & National Deputy Director for the Canadian Pony Club.

Mani Sankar

Senior Bookkeeper

Mani competed his undergradute degree in accounting and received his CPA from Papua New Guinea. Mani is also a Certified Xero Adviser. He has more than 15 years of experience in the accounting profession, working in many accounting and finance roles throughout his career, across various industries including consulting, public accounting, government trust companies and hotel. He loves traveling and music.

Seema Doad

Client Care & Marketing Specialist

Seema has worked in the marketing, communications and analytic functions of small and start-up companies over the past 14 years. Her work experience includes creating brand awareness across media channels, data analysis to strategize best ROI practices and working on both public and client relations. Her communication skills and business acumen have allowed her to move seamlessly across a spectrum of industries ranging from Oil & Gas, Travel & Tourism and to her most recent position in the Natural and Organic sector. Seema is excited to join Star Company in the role of Client Care and Marketing Specialist where she will focus on continuous customer satisfaction while expanding exposure to new opportunities for the company.
